The Odenwald is located between the conurbations Rhein-Main and Rhein-Neckar. The low mountain range belongs to the Global Network of the UNESCO Geoparks. It captivates with its varied landscape, its mild climate and its rich local history. From the Alemannenweg to the Cistercian monastery of Schönau, visitors can expect the entire range from contemporary leisure activities to cultural-historical sites. Numerous castles and fortresses, as well as small towns with medieval marketplaces, town halls and narrow alleys, idyllic villages, certified hiking trails and even a sea of rocks (block field) invite visitors and guests to get to know and love the mid-range mountains.
